Chronic histiocytic intervillositis (CHI): an under-recognised condition with potential serious sequelae in pregnancy (Lee et al, 2021)

This is a case study (looking at a single person) about a woman in Singapore who had an early miscarriage (around 7 weeks) that appears to have been due to CHI. They note that there are no current clinical guidelines regarding the management of CHI and go on to discuss the current literature and suggestions around a meaningful set of guidelines based on the information we have from research so far. They also highlight that parents suffer greatly due to the miscarriages and stillbirths associated with this condition and that doctors should also be considering their emotional wellbeing.
